Reports & Exports

Review key numbers, track business performance in Insights, then export when you need to — with clear, privacy-aware confirmations every time.

Encrypted by Default

Your data is stored locally and protected by Apple platform security. Exporting creates a copy outside the app's protected storage — you'll always confirm before proceeding.

Overview

Use Reports & Exports to review summaries in-app first. If you choose to export, Titanium Invoice™ explains the format and destination before creating an export copy outside the app's protected storage.

Security first: If iCloud Sync is enabled, Titanium Invoice™ encrypts sensitive sync data before upload to Apple iCloud services, consistent with TNO. Exports (CSV/PDF/ZIP) are opt-in and require explicit confirmation.

Insights — Business Intelligence

The Insights module gives you a live view of your business performance. Revenue, Expenses, and Profit charts update automatically as you add invoices and expenses — no setup required.

  • Revenue chart — income trend over your chosen date range.
  • Expenses chart — spending trend over your chosen date range.
  • Profit chart — revenue minus expenses at a glance.
  • Date range presets — Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, and Year to Date.
  • Drilldowns — tap any chart to break down by Client, Category, Invoice, or Expense.
  • Persistent preferences — your last selected pane and date range are remembered across sessions.

Real data only. Insights never displays synthetic or interpolated numbers. What you see is exactly what your records show — consistent with Titanium Invoice™'s TNO philosophy.

Available Reports

These reports are live and ready to use:

  • Unpaid Invoices — PDF/CSV summaries of outstanding balances.
  • Income by Month — CSV trend breakdown of monthly revenue, with counts and totals per month and a grand total.
  • Client Statements — branded PDF statements with Billed, Paid, and Outstanding totals. Optional logo and contact block controlled by Settings → Statements Branding.
  • Tax-Time Export — accountant-ready CSV/ZIP bundle. See details below.

All exports require Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode authentication before proceeding.

Tax-Time Export

The Tax-Time Export bundles everything your accountant needs into a single dated ZIP file.

  • invoices.csvDate, Invoice Number, Client, Email, Subtotal, Tax, Total, Status, Paid Date, Payment Method
  • expenses.csvDate, Vendor, Category, Amount, Description, Payment Method
  • clients.csvName, Email, Phone
  • README.txtFile list, schema notes, unencrypted file warning, and secure delivery recommendations

A few things worth knowing about the Tax-Time Export:

  • Decimal-precision math — all currency values use full decimal precision to prevent rounding errors. No cents lost in transit.
  • Excluded from iCloud backups — exported files are flagged so they don't end up in your iCloud device backup, while remaining fully visible and accessible in Files.
  • README.txt is included — every ZIP includes a plain-text readme explaining the file contents, schema notes, and a clear reminder that these files are unencrypted outside the app.
  • Secure delivery recommended — the README suggests sending to your accountant via a secure portal, Bitwarden Send, Proton Drive, or similar. Not by plain email attachment.

Export Destination Preference

You can choose how exports are delivered in Settings → Reports & Exports:

  • Local Save (default) — exports save directly to Files → On My iPhone → Titanium Invoice → Exports. A success alert shows the exact file path after saving, with an option to Share immediately.
  • Share Sheet — the iOS Share Sheet appears after authentication, letting you choose where to send the file each time.

You can switch between these preferences at any time without affecting existing exports.

Files App Organization

Titanium Invoice™ keeps your exports organized in clearly named subfolders so you can always find what you need:

  • Exports/Statements — Client Statement PDFs
  • Exports/TaxTime — Tax-Time Export ZIPs
  • Backups — app backups with collision-safe timestamped filenames

All folders live under Files → On My iPhone → Titanium Invoice.

Export Flow & Privacy Confirmations

  1. Open Reports & Exports and select a report.
  2. Review the on-screen summary.
  3. Tap Export. A Heads-up dialog explains that the export file will be outside the app's encrypted storage.
  4. Authenticate (Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode) to proceed.
  5. File saves locally or the Share Sheet appears, depending on your preference.

This extra step prevents accidental disclosure and keeps exports intentional.

Formats

  • CSV — best for spreadsheets, accounting tools, or tax software.
  • PDF — ready-to-share summaries (branding options apply; see Branding).
  • ZIP — multiple CSVs and attachments bundled into a single file (Tax-Time Export).

Branding on Reports

Report PDFs can include your company logo and footer details if branding is enabled. Control this in Settings → Branding and Settings → Statements Branding.

Best Practices

  • Verify before sharing: open your CSV/PDF and confirm totals, date ranges, and client names.
  • Use secure destinations: prefer a private iCloud Drive folder, accountant portal, or a secure-send service.
  • Rotate exports: delete outdated files you no longer need.
